BOSL is headed by David A. Jenkins, a former member of the British Diplomatic Service, who is dedicated to the development of Belize as a growing international financial services centre. He first came to Belize in 1982 and was responsible for the planning and implementation of many social and economic development projects. Educated in the United Kingdom, he brings more than 35 years of experience in the fields of international banking, trade, finance, project development and export promotion.

Belize has become one of the leading offshore jurisdictions in the Caribbean and is widely considered around the world to be the jurisdiction of choice for the incorporation of companies and the establishment of Trusts – due to its low costs, quick turn-around times and modern legislation. Belize also offers official licenses for a comprehensive range of international financial services and this has opened up a host of new opportunities to meet the demands and challenges of the global market place. The International Financial Services Commission of Belize is the main regulator and oversees the provision of international financial services in Belize. In this context, BOSL is fully licensed to provide a full range of company and Trust services in Belize to meet the needs of its clients worldwide.
